ETA 02-09-2010 - I posted this on a gun forum that I am on: "Let's give this all some space and see what EPAPD is going to do, and whether Det. Tuazon will be making any further apologies or explanations. I know what he did was WRONG WRONG WRONG, but I am personally uncomfortable with just piling up on him. I think we drilled the point home with over 500 posts. Let's not go into overkill. That's just me talking, and it has to do with the values I was taught when I was growing up."

East Palo Alto, CA Detective Roderick Tuason didn't realize that actual PRO-GUN people also read Facebook. Amazingly, he posted the following comment about law abiding gun owners on a friend's page. Basically, he's saying "prone them out" (on the ground), and if anyone moves, kill them. I don't make this crap up.
This is worth a call to his boss. . .

Oakland City Attorney Calls Gun People "Pointy Headed"
Oakland Tries to Take On Guns - Bay Area Blog - NYTimes.com
John Russo (jrusso@oaklandcityattorney.org) was interviewed by the New York Times with respect to some seriously un-Constitutional laws that the city of Oakland is trying to ram down our throats. At one point, he made the following statement:
"The irony is that’s the argument that gets made by largely pointy-headed, theoretical pro-gun people."
I guess if he can't argue with us on the facts, he will just insult us instead. I expect more from someone who makes his living off of MY TAX MONEY.
Read more of his drivel here, and don't forget to send him an email.
p.s., here's a photo of John Russo (suit on the left). He looks kind of pointy-headed himself, don't ya think?

#Trijicon sights: How the ‘Jesus gun’ misfired / The Christian Science Monitor - CSMonitor.com
Trijicon sights: How the ‘Jesus gun’ misfired / The Christian Science Monitor - CSMonitor.com: "A Michigan manufacturer criticized for putting biblical citations on gunsights sold to the US military vows to end the practice. It has sent 100 “removal kits” that soldiers can use to scrape off words that critics say promote the idea of a Christian crusade in the Middle East.
The revelations, first reported by ABC News, caused embarrassment and consternation within the Pentagon after religious groups – including the Interfaith Alliance – complained that it violated an Army rule against proselytizing." [CS Monitor]

Let's Ban "Danger Dogs!" Wait, they already do in England. . .
I thought this was interesting. If you read the article, you could practically substitute "assault weapon" for "danger dog" and have a typical gun hysteria article.
I've decided that the whole "let's ban them" thinking process is the SAME, whether it's dogs or guns. Some sort of mental disorder, me thinks.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE
Figures released through the Freedom of Information Act show a total of 106 illegal dogs were picked up by police between April 2008 and March 2009. There are four different types of dogs banned in the UK – the pit bull terrier, Japanese tosa, dogo argentino and the fila braziliero. But the Government says that whether a dog is a banned type depends on what it looks like.

VIDEO: What Israelis (ישראלים) Think of U.S. "Political Correctness"
This is in regards to the FT Hood shootings. Fairly accurate assessment of our overly P.C. culture, IMHO.

God, Guns, and Gays: For now, just the middle topic
Typical anti-gun propaganda, from an apparently sickly youth. He's getting shut down in the comments. What an idiot.
"Ever since I came home from school that day in 1999 when I learned about the kids who got killed in Colorado, guns have scared me. I was raised without them and wasn’t allowed to even have toy guns until I was 11 years old. When I first fired a gun I got sick. I stood up and went to the bathroom and vomited. Since then I’ve come to the understanding that guns have no purpose. My views have only slightly eased. I agree with the right to own and use hunting rifles for what they are intended for, but I do not support a person’s desire to own a handgun or assault rifle. As such, I do not agree with open carrying or concealed carrying."
More weak crap here: http://bit.ly/4vPySh
EDIT: I just found out that this person is running for State Assembly. Eeeek.
